ABOUT SJ DAWSON
I was born in Preston Lancashire. As a teenager, I lived in Tenerife for several years before returning to the UK. I now live in Poulton-Le-Fylde with my husband and dog Seve: Yes named after the greatest golfer ever.
In 1991 aged 22, I was diagnosed with renal failure and spent 3 1/2 years on dialysis, before receiving a live donor transplant from my mother in January 1995. It was then that I took up writing as a hobby.
Two years ago I decided to take writing seriously and my first picture book Rainbow Dust was published in July 2019.
Although I love writing children's books, I also write short stories; one of which was recently aired on radio Lancashire. I am also working on 3 different novels; one a historical family saga set during WWI, the other, a crime thriller and the third a true chick-lit. I am also working on a young adult fantasy book.
